It seems that the parts supply over here is starting to dry up. KTM Canada doesnt seem to have a lot of interest in keeping stock for older models. Many items are now special order (even 04 and up). My 01 is really tough to find anything at a ktm dealer even if they have the husaberg brand.
Luckily, being a colony, I can get parts from the UK just as fast as I can parts from the other end of Canada. Parts from the US take twice as long.
Thanks to Taffmeisters for their prompt service.... They even shipped a package before they had my complete credit card number:D. By the time I contacted them with the missing numbers, the package was waiting for me at my local postal outlet!!!

Thanks Taffy

I get all my berg parts from Taffinmiesters David and Alison are great to deal with and know what they are talking about and there are no import fees .. lots of places in the States won't ship to Canada and if they do they do Canada customs adds there fees and makes it not worth while

Does the Canadian customs add on a tax on shipments from the USA to Canada? I ship clutch and exhaust products to customers in Canada several times a week and no one has ever complained about a customs tax. I thought NAFTA or the North American Free Trade Act was supposed to eliminate all tariffs on products sold between the USA, Canada and Mexico. Am I wrong?

yeah, i've experienced the same. Been lucky with Motoxotica and Taffy, otherwise . . . it's getting bleak

Yes, they do. But, like I say, it is a percentage of the declared value is. so, if the value is low .....

I sell so little abroad, I've never put more than "value $40" on anything yet!

never mind hey!

Taffy

for what it's worth, Taffy has always come through for me (no, don't start getting a big head over there Taffy). Indeed, I am very appreciative that he is doing what he does . . . ok, fine, I'll cave, thanks Taffy! While I'm lucky enough to hang out in Dan's shop and thank him personally, Dan hooks you up with hard to find oem and I love him for it. Besides, his awesome attitude and quiet demeanor, his wife, his dogs and his love of exotic crap make him wonderful. Taffy, well, I look forward to meeting him, his dogs, wife and seeing his shop. Al for the same reason . . . . cantankerous or not, he loves the berg. Now, I just need to arrange that trip to Australia to annoy Bushy and Orange, just to circumnavigate the globe with my annoying self and love of the berg.

Great people that all love an amazing bike. Can you ask for more?

Hey Goose,

I will go with you to annoy, those Aussie's too :D
I think that the Aussie beer will taste good:)

Hey Kevin, let me know if you need me to check on Berg parts in NA. I can still log on to the Berg parts ordering system and check stock and availability.
