My frame needs touching up in various places on my '04 FE450. I need the exact colour of Husaberg blue and am wondering where I can get it?

I have been told before that the paint is Ford tractor blue?

Tried a few shades of blue to the closest match but you can spot it a mile off so I need the exact blue.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

Sounds like you need a color match Steve. I'd do it for free to anyone here as long as it's conveniant to get it to you. And your kinda far away. To match that one from scratch I would probably use 4 or 5 colors. Or start with something close and tint it closer.
Any Berg buddy that comes to San Diego can get a same day frame match on me.

Yesterday I finished matching up a Komatsu PC 400 Gray and Yellow. I painted the tracks gray to match and touches up the boom, counterweight and other areas yellow.
You know, I could just match up a quart of blue to my 05 650 and have it on hand to pour off a pint later. I don't know though if all the years frames are exact match. Some might be a little different but not much. I could tint it either way.
I use waterbase paint to match. It's cheaper for putting on machines. I have 20 or so colors to choose from which is usually enough. Sometimes I have needed a cleaner or brighter color to be succesful so I ordered it to add to my selection.
I only use the expensive auto paint for the trucks and cars asw needed and I don't match them because I don't have the toners. I send a part to the paint store for custom auto match.
If you come the S.D. Steve, give me heads up and I'll match up my 05 blue so I can get a head start.

Steve, try the Hammerite blue spray if your on a budget, if not then strip her down and follow Cyphers advice.

Hi Steve,

I got a spray can from my local motor factors, I would say it is a 99% match, but I don't know if it is available in the Uk, the company name is MOTIP and the colour code is 44930.
I know it sounds a bit long winded but if you can't get it in the Uk I could always send you a can over.
Just been told by my good lady wife that it is for sale on E bay.

Regards

Sparks.

My bloody computers been hit by a virus

Anyway just got on here. Cheers for the advice guys, I'll get onto it this weekend with the paint, I've had a look on ebay and seen the MOTIP paint, I think it'll be between that and the Hammerite.

I'll post some photo's up when its done.

Got some (Yamaha blue) acerbis handguards off e-bay. Couldn't find the right colour paint. Went to my local auto factor / paint supplier with a bit of husaberg plastic & next day they had mixed and made up a spray can of paint.

Those really look nice. I would have the paint off of those less than halfway through one of my regular rides, though.

Are you a horsemen Arkly ? I sence horses in the background of one of your pics.

If I have to F+ but really too many times me wanting to go one way & the horse wanting to go the other...me on the floor. At least with a bike I can walk away & leave it in a ditch.

Have a yard though, suits me, wife & daughter go off horsing about whilst me & the boy go off roading (unfortuunately HB dont do a mx 65).
