i can barely touch both tippy toes to the ground. my buddy says lower it and it will be much easier to ride. i dunno about that. it looks and definitely feels like the mono shock is jacked! also the set screw is in a location that will require removal of the shock.
i'm thinking set all four damping adjustments to stock and set riding sag. BUT... i'm probably between 220 and 230 lbs, maybe more geared up.
my bike is used, so i don't know what's been done to it. i'm wondering where the markings are on the mono shock spring and fork springs so i can see what i've got.
any suggestions on what to do to get my suspension set up properly?

hate to say it again, but READ THE DOC under handling. set the sag and race sag front and rear. don't know if you'll lower it much, but you need to set the balance so that it feels good to you. the height thing may just need getting used to (ask jeff ward or ricky carmichael).

actually the doc doesn't really hammer out setting the sag. rightly or wrongly i started the doc by saying what HADN'T been said in the manuals or contradicting it and saying that it was wrong (though extremely rare!) so although it says something about the sag numbers on the rear changiong it doesn't describe doing the sag.

you need to download a owner's handbook for that. then you look at the doc for additional info.

i figures we all had enough to do w/o duplicating the handbook!!!!!
