just seen this on the american ebay old husey and it set me wondering "who has the oldest running husey at UHE?" i believe we already have a 1991 350 but do we have anything older?

on a sidenote husqvqrna claimed to be the oldest manufacturer in the world and husaberg carried on when they left! shouldn't we try and piss a few hardly owners off and announce that husaberg are equally the oldest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world?

now that would really get a few heart rates going wouldn't it?

regards

Taffy

A guy i know called Kev used to have this right old hussy but i think he's ditched her now hehe, all joking aside i wonder what an original 1989 would be worth in immaculate condition?

Yes, Taffy, you are correct. There is a 91 350 still running, kinda, MINE!!! It's in pieces waiting for me to come home and rebuild her. Still started 2nd kick every time before I dismantled it.

With that said, I just bought a 1995 FE501 this past weekend, but more to come on that later tonight or this week when I can post something more lengthy.

Oh, also bought a 95 600cc motor. So, I know have every motor combination available by Husaberg in the Pre 01 bikes. Well, I have every crank and cases available....

Who can trump me??? Who's gonna force me to find an 89???

-Parsko

PS- Flying into Nottingham Friday for the weekend holiday. Leaving Monday. Will be driving west then north into Scotland and back.

I'm not positive how old my old 501 is, but the title I have is signed by Gary Surdyke himself. #YU7FE5010L0000290. Anybody got the codes? I know (I think) they weren't all titled or sold in the year they were made, so who knows? Later, DC

da - da!!!!

well according to the doc you have a 1990 there sir!

well done doc!

can we see a photo of it?

BTW, if anyone's asking, go to part 1 of the doc. it's the tenth digit in and an L is 1990 so we need someone to top that with a 'K' now...

we await....

parsko, have a good time but if i was you i'd get over to the isle of man for saturdays or mondays or wednesdays or fridays races. it'll blow your mind!
regards

Taffy

Wow, that is old. You've got #290 off the lot too. I wonder how many were made per year back in those days? :!: Doc, you could have one of the first 500 bergs ever made! That's pretty cool in my book. How does it run?

-Luke

PS- Taff, she's in charge this time... :?

Well Parsko, it runs pretty good, considering it's now carrying a 96? FE600 engine. It also has plastic and tank from the 96, but the reason I use the old frame is that it seems to handle motocross turns a lot better than the 96. I've got the late model forks and wheels too,'cause there's no comparison in the braking dept. When I got it, it had the "Four Stroke" decals on the swingarm, along with the supercool Swedish Flag graphics on a blue tank. Id put a picture on here if I knew how to do it....have to find a ten-year-old to show me how! Well that's all folks....DC

is this comp for usa only or are us brits allowed, doc had #290 - i got #10 runnin smooth as silk and not with a 600 engine either!
vin no. yu7fc5010l0000010.
this is the first berg i've had and i must say its been an experience but the old girl rips up the dirt like nothing else and theres still nothing at the track where i go that can touch her, she was originally brought in by dave clarke and tuned by sct.... i'll post a pic if i can figure out how.

Oh, Well, Queen For A Day. I guess I'll get over it :( . Hey, Husadaddy, I see your bike is older, but we share the same lack of computer skills. We don't need no stinkin' oil pump. Later.DC :D

oil pump???? the real old bergs run on pure adrenalin.... dont need no oil!!! well when i say running sweet as a nut i'm just tryin to get a new kickstart shaft, had the engine rebuilt and she came back with so much compression i snapped it.... now had 3 different shafts delivered and all wrong, dave clarkes so sick of pissing about he's picked up my bike and taken it over there so he can sort it out without workin blind hahaha.

Sounds like a wise move by Dave. BTW, I've got a few 1990 501 parts lying around, including kickstart shaft, and transmission, cyl head, etc. Let me know if you need anything. You'd better get running soon, or I'll be forced to protest your "oldest running Husey" title. :D I'm still waiting for someone to crawl out of the woodwork with a factory prototype or such. Good Day, DC :!:

thats very kind of you DC, i think i'll leave the parts in the usa i think you guys over there have more trouble sourcing them than we do so its odds on that if i take any there will be some guy over there screaming for some a week later. Thanks anyway!

Hey, Husadaddy, there's lots of screamers over here for sure, but you won't heat me screamin' : I've got plenty of parts. Let me know if you need anything. Regards, DC :D

hahah... finally figured out you have to apply for a gallery to post photos, look in mine and there she is in all her glory!!

husadaddy 501

do you have any idea of the hours or mileage for the oldest berg in town???

hi whosahberg
i really haven't got a clue, i've only owned it 4 months, probably been to the moon and back! i got the old mot's and tax discs with all the other paperwork so i think its been used on the road for quite a while.

Hallo.

Anders Hermansson, Orust/ Sweden have the oldest Husaberg what we know, he have the frame no #00002 of the 89/90, 501 cc.
I dont think he have ever sold it.
Mr Hermansson was once a factory Husaberg rider, long ago.

The one with #00001 was sold to a german client, if the bike is still alive we dont know.

Mr Hermansson can be reached at Hermansson Marin: [email protected]

Sounds interesting Thomas i think i'll e-mail him and see if he's still got it and if he has any pics..... of course he'd have to join UHE and claim my title before i'd relinquish it hahah... first time i ever won anything!
