Older models

I just got my 2nd Berg, a '96 FE 600 w/e-starter, and hope bring this puppy back to its rightful glory. Finding info on the older models is a little difficult (even in the owner's doc), but I would like to find out some of the other members experiences and advice with this particular model / year or generation. (My 1st and still fav Berg is a cherry '00 FE 400) Thanks for all the help I've found the site to be so far.

I spent the last few years rebuilding my 98 FE 600. It was fustrating at times since I am not much of a mechanic. I pretty much got most of my info from here and the thing runs great! An excellent dual sport machine,now if that big tank comes back up for sale, all will be well! If you need some help with something let me know,maybe I can help you out.

we just can't find a volunteer to put together a doc for the earlier bike i'm afraid! even the doc you see i have spent probably on average 3 hours a week since 2006 and when i did it in 2004/2005 i was spending 10 hours per week.

it's a long process but unless you can volunteer or find us someone - well i guess it'll stay like that!

i put my 99 fe400 together from pieces, well i helped on most of it anyway..........LOL. check out my gallery and you'll see the mess i had when i bought the bike. runs like a champ now......if you have any questions pm me and i can probably help you out.
