That was just too cool.

Did you notice how fast the tech put the cam in, correctly timed it and then buttoned it up.

What was he using to measure TDC? Looks like perhaps a ground off handle end of a Phillips head screwdriver in the spark plug hole to eye ball piston movement?. I suppose after you have assembled thousands its just childs play.

Interesting that they apply the sealant to the rocker cover and not the cylinder. I'll have to try it that way next time.

Nice Kli,

There's another old short movie on youtube, search under Husaberg 1990 and you will see Jimmie Eriksson, Kent Karlson, Jaroslav Katrinak in action jn the world or european champion ship.
It's an old Eurosportmovie, but the sound is not that good, nice to see though:D

I believe you think on this one, also nice one.

They were really ambitious team, when you see where they start theirs manufacturing, factory looks like better repair workshop, and how they success from there.
Specially on part of video where it's shown frame welding, dyno garage, ...

Stupid KTM it's really shame, but that is today's world of product/market cannibalism where the customer is last and company goals first.

Wicked, I remember seeing an FC in an early 90's aussie dirt bike magazine, they were so exotic and rare and the testers raved about the powerplant and quality fittings. Watching those videos really reminded me how unique and important the bikes are.

Hey Kli,

That's exactly the one i meant:)

Well Berglsmerg you're right in the 90's the were indeed exotic and rare, and when i rode the same FE 501 that i am now restoring ( almost ready ) i was and still am very impressed by the characteristics
from this bike.
I think it's a shame that this Pierer guy killed a good brand:mad:
