Hey guys! Last saturday i got the bike back from the shop after they fixed an engine noise (sprague clutch inner and clutchbasket) I also told them to make sure the bike would run without problems for a while.. so they replaced the cam bearings complete timing chain with everyting..
And they changed my oilplug, cause it had bad treads, ok..
Bike worked perfect until i was going to make an oilchange.. couldn't barely get the plug out, so it seems they had just screwed in a new plug whiteout clearing the treads in the block, think this a lousy job from the Husaberg importer in Norway.. :( So, do you gus know the bolt size and its treads, is it something like 22x1,5mm? and have u successful fixed bad treads in block? tanks in advance

Regards Norberg

Hey thats a bummer when the shop screws up like that. You should see if they will repair it for you if not you should be able to buy a self tapping replacement plug from an automobile parts house. Good luck.

Norberg,
Everyone encounters a stripped thread sooner or later, the most effective and practical repair I know of is to simply replace the thread in the damaged part with what is called a helicoil. The kit comes with a slightly oversize tap that you use to create a seat for the new stainless steel thread that restores the plug hole to its original size.Almost every motorcycle shop has these kits in most sizes, cost is reasonable.......nsman
