Good eveing all,after some opinions and advice i have 05 fs650 i use fully synthetic what grade are you guys using
and what brand,i use the bike on road and track all advice gratefully recieved
 
hello, i have a fs650 2008 that i use for racing , and also for commuting.

i always use 10w40 of any brand of any kind semi-synthetic in my engine since new.

change oil every practise or race or at maximum 5 hours of operation.

270 hours now at the clock and never had an issue, not even worn piston rings, not even worn rocker rollers not anything which is connected to lubrication issue.

at the moment , as i bought a box, i use repsol 10w40 , 6 euros per bottle :bounce3:

well never ask the age of an old lady!!

its got a new motor now with an oil pump (mix of years 1994-1998-2000).

i would say the old pumpless motor had more than 500h on the clock.

it desparately needed rebuild every 150 hours, changing connecting rod and piston rings and rollers and bearings and minor things.this of course after i put a 1998 cylinderhead on because the oem 1994 was horrible.

anyway, now i hope with the pump i get more hours from the rod and rings at least.
