If one wanted wanted to purchase bulk, oil filters for one's supply line, given inevitable frequent oil changes my FE400 enjoys, what would be the least expensive source here inthe northwest, prefereably in Oregon. :?

Buy the Scott's stainless steel filter for about $50 and never buy another filter again.

Later- You can buy filters from Napa Auto Parts for sure, as I bought a bunch from the Brownsville store. I can't remember the part number off hand, but I think they were Fram filters.

Frog- Cleaning the stainless steel filters is best done in an ultrasonic bath with solvent. But I clean mine with lots of carb cleaner and compressed air.

Ditto I've had my Scott oil filter since the bike was new. I change my oil after every ride. The Scott oil filter has saved me a ton of money! I picked my Scott oil filter right from there web site.

i change the oil every third ride now and i change the paper filter about once a season. that's every 8-10 rides. you can never spend too much money on your pride 'n joy can ya! :D :D :D

i don't see any point in changing it more often. the oil deteriorates but that doesn't mean that the oil filter has to does it?

to be honest i don't know why i EVER change the oil filter? just one of those things where you follow the other lemmings...

... not trying to be controversial or anything mind! 8) 8)
