Last week Weed posted some pictures of an oil cooler. Where does one get that nifty cover over the oil filter that has the fittings to attach the cooler lines to? Also, does anyone know of an after market cooling fan for the radiator on my FE 400e? TIA

From what I gather the oil cooler's biggest contribution is increased oil capacity. I think the actual cooling benefits are minimal.
Radiator fans. I have run computer fans with good luck. I have mounted them to BOSS radiator guards and just used a simple toggle switch to control them. There are pictures in my gallery.
The best bet is to gut an 06-08 tank and shrouds. This will allow you to run the OEM fan. You would still have to run your own control and wiring. You could also use one of the 4 gallon Clark tanks instead of the 06-08 tank.
 
you can get one of those cooler pipe mounts for the oil filter housing by approaching a sidecarX team in holland named the 'derks'. they have their own web site and they are quite talkative and even speak fluent american!

sorry i couldn't find their site today but i have been on it. find the EML sidecar site and they'll have links to the teams that use their outfits.

JBS won't sell them if you aren't buying one of his sidecar oil coolers - or heat radiator as they appear to be.

yeah that one of mine you are talking about is what i made up myself.
little bit of lathe work & a fair bit of filing.
suppose to be good for the heart & lungs apparently,but i always have plenty of beer on hand to cool me down from the inside.
i could make you one up,but i would probably rather not.
how many dollars are they asking for a bought one?
