O RING CHAIN

I picked up some of this chain wax to try. Anyone recommend a cleaner/ degreaser or solvent to get my Oring chain spiffy clean before I use it.
I use kerosene on my kids bikes, but they don't have Orings, and it leaves them a little oily. Just thought I'd ask before I possibly ruin my chain. All replies appreciated.....

On the odd time I clean a chain I use 50/50 degreaser and kero. I also use one of the chain scrubbers from Whipps which is rather good.
