Nuetech tubliss system

I've ordered the 21' tubeless system. Instead of running a heavy duty tube the wheel will be lighter. No more pinch flats and if you do go flat the bead stays on the rim. All this sounds good but it seems strange to ride around without a tube. I'm going to give it a shot on the front and if all goes well the rear system would shed 2 or 3 pounds from the heavy duty tube weight . And we all know how power to ground hookup is with weight differences. What do you guys think? Let's hear some feedback on this new product.

I just found out it's going to be a while. The 21s are backorder. Still like to hear some feedback on this tubeless idea.

I have a 21" in the shed for testing as per your logic. Unfortunately I'm a bit injured at the moment and it'll be a while before I get to test it. I love the concept though, in theory they are all good.

I recently bought a Nuetech Tubliss 21" tire system from www.brapoffroad.com. They still have 21" and 19"systems available, with 18" systems available shortly. Installation was very simple, and future tire changes will be easier. The total 21" system weighs 22.5 oz or 10 oz less than my medium duty inner tube. The setup thus far has been leak free. The advantages are obvious: less unsprung weight, no rim locks other than that which is designed into the system, and no more rim pinched inner tubes. In the past I have had to run 18-20 psi in my front tire to stave off rim pinches, and even then would still rim pinch inner tubes on occasion. Now I find that I can benefit from running much lower tire pressures with absolutely no problems. What a revelation! Disadvantages are few: $100 cost, trail side leak repairs will be different but probably easier with plug type "patches", and it still took about 3 oz of lead to balance the wheel/tire.

My friends and I have gone tubeless on some of our SM bikes by sealing the inside of the rims with "The Right Stuff" where it meets the spokes. After the first application zero, one or two spokes might leak air requiring re-application on those spokes.

21" size dirtbike tires might not be rated for tubeless use. Check the info stamped on the tire sidewall to see if it says Tube Type or Tubeless application recommended.

I'm not sure what might happen if you run a Tube Type tire without an inner tube. Maybe nothing.
