Now getting embarrassng !

I can't believe I'm asking this question again but I am - & I'm embarrased about it !
I URGENTLY need advise on how to remove the fuel tank from my 2002 FE550 bought 2 weeks ago - I need the mill serviced & running this week because I have a fair bit to do on the suspension & brakes & time's running out !!!!!!!!

Photos attached in an attempt to prompt those who know to what dumb mistake/omission I've made.

remove seat
shut off fuel
remove fuel lines
remove left and right lower shroud bolts
center handlebars
yank up hard on rear of tank
slide back and remove
take outside and set it afire (or not)

Sometimes when I am in a hurry I just remove the seat,remove the two(each side) self tapping screws that secure the rad shrouds to the tank,disconnect the fuel lines and pull the tank off.The rad shrouds stay attached to the bike at the rad this way.

Done it - bloody hell it was on tight !
Put some grease on the rubbers for next time me thinks.

Now getting embarrassng !
