...no; i simply did not know how to post a question. I would like to know if anyone has fitted an aircooled or air/oil cooled engine to a Berg. ? And also; a much larger plastic tank, like 23litre? Can it be done, on a '98 fe600?

1 question, why? :D But everything is possible in fact, if you have the skills to make it fit. A 2 stroke zabel700cc also fits a Berg

Thanks Michie,
i suppose another engine is not really necessary. The thing is, i like the Berg for it's lightness, not it's looks. A good-looking bike is a '91 3aj Tenere; but it's terribly heavy. So i need to make the Berg look like that Tenere, without it becoming much heavier. Crazy?

Is it just fuel tank size? unless theres an engine problem i would leave it alone until there is at least, and unless you already had an engine laying around or could be had cheap, was good with the fab, and not it a hurry....might cost as mush as a new differnt bike to convert it even on the cheap, best thing i could recomend would be to try and find an oversize tank for your bike, or all the plastics/tank/seat from another bike,

if you want to look like the tenier then just get a big ugly tank and front headlight, ugly up the rear tail light area a little and call it a day :D

Yeah, thanks Bergini; althiugh i preffer aircooled, i best leave the engine in-place for now; except for fitting a Pro-bolt Aluminium bolt&nut kit. Next, alloy wheels. Then seat, headlight and plastics off. Possibly other handlebars. Next, the 3aj double headlamp assembly and probably custom made plastic tank. Maybe another seat, hopefully not. Tenere front mudguard, right on the wheel. And finally strong alloy rear rack, and that's basically it. I reckon it's do-able; and it's not going to be ugly! It's still gonna be lightweight also- still way under 120kg dry. Your bike is about 110kg's. I see now the Brits have made a new CCM 450 lightweight Adventure bike. But...it's still 130kg's dry. Even the Zero Motorcycles dual sport model, is still terribly heavy. Well then, thanks for inspiring me, and tell me about you bike/s
