Not a Berg! but Honda XR 600 cutting out intermittently

Hi all,

Not a Berg i know but i thought with the wealth of knowledge on this forum someone may be able to help.

1995 Xr600r , it`s very easy to start normally first kick, seems to run and idle ok most of the time but after a run and let it idle it some times just cut`s out, when it does it starts up straight away again first kick.

Any ideas ??

Carb may be worn out. Worn slide, needle,needle jet etc..

Hi,

Just thought i`d let you know that on my first investigation i found

one of the carb boot rubbers wasn`t seated right,

running way too rich, so mixture corrected and plug cleaned,

Gas tank vent hose was blocked,

Took it for a run this morning and tried to get it to stall but nothing hopefully it`s fixed.
