Rear bake worked fine the last time I rode my 2011 FE570S. Now I've got absoluteely nothing. I tried conventional bleeding, a Mighty-Mite to draw fluid through the line, a synringe to pump fluid through the line, and nothing. I can't get the thing to bleed. Help.

I have no knowledge of bleeding your bike but have just had a problem bleeding a gas gas trials bike.
The recommended method for that was to remove the reservoir and fit a syringe pushing fluid through to the rear bleed nipple. The rod from the brake pedal must not be pushing on the master cylinder piston. The first time I tried it did not work. After a bit of thought I wondered if I had actually pushed enough fluid through to displace the air.
I fitted a clear pipe to the nipple and watched the fluid coming out as I pushed the syringe. Sure enough two big air bubbles came out. I pushed some more fluid through to be sure. Reconnected everything and all was good.

Why this should be any different to the other bikes I have bleed I have no idea. Just glad to get it sorted.
Hope it helps you.

Hope this helps.

Get a couple of syringes from the chemist fit some rubber medical tube to the end, take the top off the rear cylinder, suck up 40 mls or so of break fluid apply pressure to push out all bubbles from the rubber tube , push the rubber tube over the bleed nipple, open nipple while appling pressure to the syringe keep pushing untill the cylinder fluid level is at the top then close the nipple, get another syringe and suck out about half of the
Fluid, repeat the process a few times, push down on the brake lever and quickly open and close the nipple with out the syringe attached , this will ensure no air is behind the nipple, syringe some fluid back into the cylinder untill 3/4rs full then screw on cap.

Whitestarz, I did exactly that and could not get fluid into the system. It won't bleed using either pressure or suction.

Eddie, I disconnected the rod and removed it, and I still couldn't get it to bleed. I do not understand how removing the reservoir/master cylinder from the bike will do anything if you're just forcing fluid in from the slave cylinder at the rear brake. It seems to me that if you're pushing fluid in through the line at the slave cylinder, it wouldn't matter where the master cylinder was.

Just to clarify. The method for the gas gas trials bike was to take the rear brake reservoir off and fit the syringe to the tube going to the master cylinder. Brake fluid is then forced from the syringe through the master cylinder to the rear calliper. When you open the bleed nipple on the rear calliper you should initially see air bubbles in the fluid being pushed out. I did have to apply quite a bit of force to the syringe to get the fluid moving.
This worked for me on the trials bike. Several other people had also being having problems bleeding that bike.
The master cylinder stays on the bike.

It is the opposite of forcing fluid in from the bleed nipple on the calliper back up to the brake reservoir.

Good luck, keep trying and you will get it right

The only bleed nipple on the Husaberg is at the slave cylinder.

I solved my problem, thoough. I think that the piston had somehow got stuck in the master cylinder piston bore. I was finally able to do a conventional bleed, and brake system has now been restored.

Thanks for your input, guys.
