hey all:
I just moved a 70 degree tank and main tank from a 570 that blew up in Baja ( that will be another thread as I dig into that bike ).
before I moved It, I removed the 450 tank and subframe to look at a fuel pump and filter, which I determined was causing a fuel starvation issue. this bike got a lot of farmers gas over the years of backcountry Baja riding so no surprise the filter eventually bad. at that stage the bike sat for a month under a cover. the other day, I noticed that when I pressed the starter motor, the light would NOT come on...
So now, with the tank and subframe moved over to the 450, I was hoping that it'd fire up. but it won't, the lights and fuel pump do not come on when the starter is pressed. Ugh... so it could be something un the wiring, but I am also woindering if its something to do with the solenoid / relay...
any thoughts where I would start? I do have a working solenoid from the other bike so I could start there after checking the wiring...
thanks!
