Hi, tried to turn the reb. on my brothers 450 08', but we cant find the bottom. Took it apart and as I see it the rod that runs in the center should be a mechanical stop, not the clicker it self?

How many clicks should it be if everything works right?

wind the rebound right out. then tighten the cap back in the fork leg correctly. then you can turn the rebound down to the bottom and from there unscrew to the required number of clicks!

i get the feeling that you haven't read the bible (the doc) you non-believer!

Cant get it working, could you be more specific where I can find more info!

Took the cap of, turned the adjuster to the top(counter clock wise), and put it back together, the pre-load was in the top position at this time.

you need to get the cap off completely. then unscrew the rebound, you'll see from underneath it screwing outwards.

then refit everything correctly.

now screw the rebound down until it stops.

now you are ready to screw out to the required number of clicks.

there is 'the doc' on your left of screen. look into front suspension.

you have cartridge forks but i think they are similar on this occasion.

I did this last time I rebuilt my forks on the FS650. Take them apart again & screw the black plastic spring guide as far down on the rod as it will go. Screw the cap on all the way then wind the spring guide (plastic bit) back against the cap. If you havent wound the cap on the rod as far as it will go the rebound clicker wont touch the rebound rod inside it. Hope that makes sense

Solved it, it was the part that you tighten the cap against that wasnt in its bottom position and that made the gap to large for the adjuster, got one working, just one left.

Hate buying used stuff!
