Oh now COME ON! you are looking at a 13 year old race bike that I am positive you could get for a song and dance, and you are worried about resale and reliability?! Really?! if it runs good, get it and ride it, you will get hooked...

no im not worried about resale value,i was just stating what people i talked too said about bergs if you read it again it says

well spoke to a few people tonight that have told me to take a wide birth on bergs reliability issues bad resale etc etc

and yes its old and very cheap, and who said i was worried about reliability,i asked a question on them that dint get answered(fair enough you dont know about em)but i only get a reaction when i mention sommat i was told about em sorry if you took offence but you have read my reply WRONG

I am the one that needs to apologize, I was not clear in my post. I was being sarcastic...usually i think i am pretty good at getting the tone of the comment across. re-reading here and it does look as if I took offense and was reacting negativly. My apologies
That I have see, There have not been very many discussions on the older bergs. There are a few here that have have them (or had them) I have not seen them post in a while. I wish I could help.

Dirtlover, seems that many on this site are giving your question a wide berth. I'll give it a go. The 350 was no powerhouse. They ran well, made a nice trail bike. The 93 chassis is dated. I raced a 92 501, and never did get the handling sorted. If this bike meets your needs, go for it. I would recommend saving up and buying a newer model if riding is your main interest. If this 350 is in good condition and priced right, it could be a lot of fun. It might also mean a lot of work, things do go wrong with them. If you are mechanically apt and do not mind working on a bike, you could be the man for this bike! Just be prepared to fall in love with the brand, Husabergs grow on you, even when they break. The new ones do what the older Bergs did to make you love them, and don't break. They just cost a lot. Gives a guy a reason to have a job.

thanx risky no worries mate, and buzzard your right i have my eye on an 02 model at the mo im just after a trail tool no sierious racer and i dont mind spannering too much, theres just something about the bergs that i love cheerz both

Hey guys,
What is it with these freaking bergs, I have had my first one (fe 501) for 3 weeks now, worked on it more than any other bike I have ever owned and I expect This will not change. But ride the dam thing and it is just s#x on wheels... love it and will be buying more. I have been on dirt bikes for 30 yrs, many brands, sizes etc but this one is the best...... maybeee i am just getting old eh.
