New to this forum. Currently have a Yamaha WR250R and I'm in need of more power so I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2010 FE390 and wanted to throw out a few questions to the group. First, is it a big deal that the brand is apparently be discontinued after this year? Main concern would be parts in the future. 2nd, what would you guys say are the most important mods to add to make this beast "my own"? It's in great shape...about 450 hours and completely bone stock. Just wanted to get an idea from the experts out there of some suggestions on most important things you've all done that made a difference. Thanks all! Shawn

Hi parts are mostly ktm so should be ok there, price wise, never can know will alomost take a fall at first but then may even increase in the future when they are far rarer. To make it your own do some mods you fancy, set the bars to your liking and levers, maybe new exhaust, set up the suspension to your liking.
Get a map switcher, get tyres you like, go shopping hehe

Hopefully you bought it (though 450 hours seems a lot to me)!

KTM said they are going to support Husaberg parts for 10 years. Probably 10 years after the model year, so your's should have support at least until 2020.

Your going from a appliance to a real off road bike congrats !!

I hear the FE-390 bikes are awesome. They still sport the 70 degree engine, right? How are they for weight as compared to a FE-350? I want something a little lighter than a 450 CC bike.
