Just arrived from Vegas yesterday. She's VA plated, but won't pass an inspection anytime soon. The 3 candlelight headlight needs some work, and the only thing that happens when I hit the horn is the bike cuts off. Gonna dig around a bit and see if I can't sort that.

Can't wait to get her out and about.

Very nice!!! You'll love it! I will gladly trade you my silver wheels for your blue :p
There is a set of blue wheels for sale on new england dirt bikes (nedb).

What brand/model is your engine guard? Care to post better pics showing us the engine guard details?

Thanks!

Give me a day or two and I'll get some better pics. I'm trying to clean up some of the electrics right now. Hopefully I'll get it sorted. Speaking of which, no turn signals (aren't required in va), but I need to hook up my license plate light. Where should it I tap into for power?

Ran into some issues with the bike this past weekend and I'm trying to figure out what the issue is.

Purchased used 10/13. Previous owner stated that he had the CA cycleworks fuel pump installed. Fresh tank of gas had just been installed. Headed to the first trail and was cruising at 60. Hit the throttle and the bike bogged down on me. Downshifted and tried it again... not much better throttle response. Got to the trail. Now I was down in 3rd/4th and the bike was backfiring whenever I tried to open the throttle, or cut throttle. Bike finally died. After sitting for a minute or two it would fire, but continued to have fuel delivery issues, more backfiring, eventually would die. This continued for a while til the batter died and I had to get a tow out to the top of the trailhead. Got a tow to a buddies, dumped fuel and added fresh fuel to eliminate bad gas. Same symptoms. Dumped a tbsp of gas into the throttle body and she ran smooth for a few seconds until it had fired off... bogged down and died. I don't know if the previous owner did anything with the filters. I'm thinking clogged fuel filter to start. What's the consensus? Should I pull the filter and fit in the 10 micron? Or should I just take out the inline filter and go with the CanAm filter?

Thanks in advance.

Garrett.

I have yet to take mine apart to check / replace the filters, but from reading up a bit it seemed to me that the consensus was to upgrade the inline filter to the 20 micron, and that the "aftermarket"/add-on filters are being used less and less (i.e. the Can-Am one) as a good inline filter will in most cases work fine.

Try a new spark plug, check the resistance value of the cap should be 5K ohms ... Start with the little things keep us posted

Thanks for the info guys. The bike is currently stranded about 2 hours from here. I'm hoping to pick it up this weekend so I'll be able to diagnose.

In the meantime, this is how I had to ride back to the campground.

Riding ***** on a Suzuki, if that's not incentive to get the Berg fix fast, I don't know what is! :lol
