Hey guys another newbie here. I recently purchased a 97 FE 501. I love the bike and got a great deal on it. It has been converted to a supermoto. It has michilen pilot tires on excel wheels, scotts damper, ohlins shock, renthal sprokets D.I.D chain, Answer exhaust, some aftermarket plastics. I just ordered a trail tech vapor(anybody use these before) The bike runs really strong its amazingly light and a blast to ride. It has been hard for me to find any info on the older bergs though I just have a couple questions for the experts.
Is there anything I should know about these bikes pros cons etc. ie are the motors reliable, what special care do they need.
Where can i get an owners manual?
Does anyone still make a big brake kit for my bike or perhaps something that would bolt on for a KTM or newer berg.
Does anyone use stainless oil filters ( i plan on doin frequent oil changes would this be a good investment)
What are some commom performance mods that i can do but still have a reliable motor.
