Hello to all. As a lurker for a while, thanks for all the info that persuaded me to buy a Berg. 2010 fe570 with 30 hrs, 900 miles. Bought it from a friend who used it to ride around town. He never got after it and it has had no issues. I've had it three weeks and the other day I was out running a thunderstorm on the gravel roads keeping it about 80 mph. Having more fun than should be allowed. Anyways after about 20 miles she quit on me. Called for a ride, got soaked. I called my buddy and his first thought was the fuel filter. He said there is a tiny cone shaped filter in the quick disconnect. I didn't find one in there and can't find one on the parts diagrams online. Is he mistaking this with his other KTM's? My first thought was the overheating fuel pump issue. Any thoughts? JD

If bike is stock the filter would be next to injector. If not there might be at quick disconnect not stock newer KTM setup (and better) go to cyclebuy.com and you’ll find a parts list there..... Check injector by removing it from throttle body and letting spray onto a piece of cardboard keep a fire extinguishers handy! Just to be safe if spray is nice and round not the problem. There are 4 fuel filters

I would check the fuel pump first since it's easiest.
Tap / quickly press the start button and release it. You should then hear a "whirr" from the pump a few seconds.
Try it before the start of a ride so you know what to look for. Then ride the bike and when it dies and wont restart do the test again. If it does not whirr then it's the fuel pump.

Let us know what you find. Mine quit running the other day at freeway speed after a day and a half at dirt speeds. Must've gotten hot. I'll replace the fuel pump with the CA Cycleworks but anything you run across would be helpful I'm sure.
Mine has been running good so Monday I took it out for a ride. 120 miles of mainly gravel roads. It was hot, 95*. I didn't ride hard. Stopped and refueled then I started running 70 - 75 mph. 20 miles from home it quit. Pushed it under a shade tree for 20 minutes and it started and I drove home. I ordered a new fuel pump and will let you know what happens. Pump should be here Friday.

I swapped out the pump. It was relatively easy. I've ridden a couple of hundred miles with zero issues although I haven't had a chance to run it hard and our weather here has cooled off the last couple of weeks. It's supposed to be in the 90's this weekend so maybe I can get a chance to push it then.
