Hello everyone i'd best introduce myself to these forums as i have not done so yet
my name is Kevin and i live in Meadowbrook, Brisbane, Australia

I have a 2000 model fe600e in very good nic with about $5000 worth of aftermarket parts.

It's a great bike but i have had problems with the stator since the day i bought it.
i have read many threads regarding the sem stator issues .I had my stator rewound by a guy in australia called C.O.D Rewinds .he sent it back to me with 1850 ohms across the red and black of course i had troubles with the bike when it got warm. I will either be buying a new unit soon or getting a sparks rewind.

I was searching on google and found this web site.Has any one had any experience with these stators.

cheers Kevin

Hi mate have just fitted one to my 03 400FE,looks well made, works well.Comes complete with wiring but only one earth lead, not a problem though just leave the other unconnected.Quick and efficient on the postage front too..

hi matty
Did you measure across the red and black and also across the black and green. if so what ohms did you get???

what country, state do you live in???

cheers kevin

Stop you there Kev,I'm no auto electrician.I work in a BMW motorcycle dealership so getting the diagnosis was easy,I then got on the internet for the best deal. The unit is a direct replacement for the SEM.The Electrex one isn't encased in resin like the original but covered in a sort of lacquer.I have however noticed a definite improvement in starting and crisper throttle response.
