Well, like my nickname indicates...I have purchased a Big Blue Berg. I bought a 2009 FE 570. Pretty excited about the whole thing. Haven't ridden in a while (5 Years +), being that my last dirt bike was stolen. I am 40+ now, but still like a kid at Christmas about this thing! Only problem is there is ton of SNOW all around me! So let the waiting begin.

Some questions, I have sprung the bike for my weight according to advice on this site. Any other things I should do to this thing...? Is the Dirt Tricks Tensioner advised?? Maybe putting parts and accessories on the Berg will make summer get here faster!!! I'll be riding lots of big hills and technical single track. Not a lot of high speed riding. Important speeds will be from 0 -30 kph, with occasional jaunts to the 30-80 kph range. All off-road. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Thanks for the great site and wealth of knowledge that folks have contributed!

I am in the same boat - snowed in. I bought mine in late November and have been snow bound all winter. Hopefully in another week or two...

Here are photos of the various mods I have done. Maybe that will give you some ideas. Plus search this site and the Husaberg site on KTMtalk and you will numerous lists of "must do" items and options.

If you're worried about your CCT I believe if you're in the states DJH cycle sport has a tensioner that is completely manual. and doesn't rely on oil pressure at all They come in anodized blue for bergs and orange for pumpkins. http://www.djhcyclesport.com/

I read the DHJ Site and it recommends no replacement, unless the engine is noisy. Mine isn't noisy, so I am happy!

Deeg, being from UT, you can't be too long of a commute to find some snow free riding. Is it true?? I considered driving south from Canada till there is no more snow then going riding!

Hey BBB, where are you? I too am a new Berg owner (2010 390) waiting for the snow to melt. And yeah, even though I'm 40-something I feel ten years old waiting for a chance to take this baby for a rip to see what it's like. Last year we trailered our WRs to Tuscon for a week, and it was fantastic. Can't do it this year though.

Anyway, as the country is just 7000km wide I wondered if you might be nearby.
