Hi Everyone,Just got my Berg last saturday, its a 400fe enduro,2003, just thought i'd drop in and say Hello.Im near Belfast,IRELAND.

Welcome Gerryboy. There's only two things to remember here.#1-Don't ask any question be it the weather, nuclear physics, quantum theory or anything else without first consulting the Doc or you will make Taffy crabby 8O .#2.Don't make French military jokes or you will make Lefrog crabby. Otherwise, enjoy.Lots of knowledgeable people on here, unfortunately I'm not one of them :(

your from ireland so you are!

all the best gerry!

i think we had a southern ireland member who really got pissed with the work he had to do on it. Nik began Mc....... i think. i'll check if we have any other members from there.

regards

Taffy

Thanks guys,Been having a few probs starting it when hot but have been checkin the forums for tips and its getting easier!! CUTS OUT AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS and can be a ***** to start on the restarter, battery goes flat after 3-4 trys if it aint started by then i have to pull over and try and kick it,.Ive just turned up the idle and slackened of the mix screw a bit.Battery was replaced 1 yr ago but im thinkin of changing it for a gel type as mentioned in theDOC. Gerry.

Hi Gerryboy. Ive only had my Berg 8 weeks so still learning and feeling my way. This site is great for help & info. Search the site; it's very good and Taffy / Le frog and all will all add their tuppence worth (2 cent I guess for our overseas friends - does that include you on euros now ??). Look for my posting "Kick start that old chestnut". Starting seems to be a technique thing / forget the easy start / these are competition bikes and don't really like sitting at traffic lights. I' m sure someone more knowledgable will contradict all of that, but thats half the fun. Good luck.

Thanks Arkley123, yeah each time i get on it i can start it easier!! waiting on my offroad wheels coming then get a lot more practise in. I would still like to upgrade the starter, but thats for another day ! :bounce3:
