the picture of the rear subframe you showed is an aftermarket product i beleive made by malcom smith, it is aluminum, the stock one is chrome moly like the rest of the frame, also the pic that you provided of the aluminim one is missing the rearmost "hoop" so basiaclly it is not 100% complete. i have one of the aluminum ones on my bike and got it from a guy that used to work for malcom smith and i think it was a leftover or something. it saves a couple lbs, nothing to special my original was very slightly bent thats the only reason i got the aluminum one, it was cheap and available for me at the time....it also was complete, not sure that you could transfer the hoop from the original to the aluminum one, my original one was welded on and wouldnt be an easy trasnfer, surely possible tho.congrats on you new bike and welcome to the site :cheers:
