Hey guys picked up my first berg on Tuesday, traded in my 96 XR440 for an 08 FE650 with 3200kms on it. What a machine. It's pretty stock, I think the only extras on it are the anodized blue brake fluid and clutch reservoir caps. Looking at purchasing the fan kit for it.

It seems like an odd model though, I have done some searching and alot of sites don't list FE650 for 2008, is it completely identical to the 2007?

One other quick question, there doesn't seem to be as many parts avaliable online like with the jap bikes. Does anyone know of any good websites for berg parts. Just chasing stuff like seat covers and graph kits.

If you are an Aussie looking for parts, I have had good experiences with mototech.com.au. There are a few vendors on here and fleabay is an option also try your local ktm dealer.

Sorry will sort that out. But yes I am located in Australia, north queensland actually. Another quick question there is no owners manual listed for 2008 on the berg website, is the 06 manual exactly the same?

I haven't checked if its different from the 06/07, but there is a 08 edition, that I could get on the web, but is in Italian, don't think its any good for you.

Yeah still haven't had much luck finding a manual. That mototech sites a rip off. I priced 4 parts (oil plug, seat cover, ignition switch and spark plug tool) on bikebandit.com and it was $107 and 111 Shipping (the shipping appears to be flat no matter what you order). Mototech wants 280 just for the parts. Not going there.

Also got the owners manual for the 06, it's more then close enough but anyone know why you can get the workshop manual for up to 2004 off husaberg.com but not for any of the newer models?

2 other questionx, there is only 1 husaberg fan kit isn't there, I was told that my bikes pre-wired for it, there's not one for the newer models and one for the 06 - 08? And the trailtech HID X2 headlight, will that fit on these models, I assume the numberplate mounting hasn't changed much.

Well I ordered a fan kit and some other bits and peices I needed on the weekend, had an offer on pants and jersey that I couldnt pass up, turns out this is costing me more then I planned haha dropped $500 without thinking. Oh well I'm in love, heres a pic of it I took whilst out riding on the weekend.

yes 07 and 08 are basically the same and you can use the 06 publications

FWIW mototech pricing is in line with all the KTM berg dealers in aust and I can vouch for their cust service, it is top notch.

Bikebandit is the only US store that have ever stuffed me around. if anything you ever order is put on back order they wont let you cancel it but if it doesn't show up at their shop within 3 weeks then they cancel it and send the rest of the order.

so if this happens you have no way of knowing if you should order the part elsewhere or if they will eventually somehow get it for you. in addition i found when they stuffed up other small things their cust service sucked.

partspitstop.com are great and can get KTM parts, a lot of the RFS engine parts are the same. e mail first for a quote.

the other option is to use shipito's mail forwarding service.

if you want to squeeze a bit more out of the engine its not hard :twisted:
