Hi all, new owner in The Netherlands, to the best of my knowledge it's a US-spec 2004 550 FE converted to a Supermoto set-up. Looks like new, runs very strong (but probably they all do, when in proper tune and condition) and compares well to my other bike, a 2005 Husky 510 SMR.

Am thinking about adding a Trailtech Vapor primarily for the RPM and temp features.

Here's a pic:

Thanks - I'm a fair weather rider and part of the fun for me also is the maintenance, so I wanted a good starting point but not necessarily new. This bike has only been driven on the supermoto track, not much, and so was perfect for me.

I've been reading here about gearing options and am thinking about changing the rear and/or front sprockets, because it seems I run out of gears about 10 miles before I do on the Husky, and that is already very quickly! Have to also watch the gas or the front wheel comes off the ground already. Blast to ride!

Welcome to the site.
That's a nice looking scooter you have. Are you sure it's not a 2005 model? (just judging by the graphics and seat cover)

Thanks for the warm welcome! This is a great forum that I am sure will add a lot to my enjoying this "Berg", I particularly like the international make-up -of the group, amazing that Husaberg has such an extensive following in the US, Australia and so many other non-European countries.

I polished the rear wheel's aluminum rim today and all of the plastic. I will be fabricating a stand for the bike from multiplex wood, 33X33X33 cm seems like it would do the trick.

The rear sprocket is 45-size, I will be looking for something a bit smaller soon. At 55 MPH I tend to be in sixth gear already.

I took it for another spin today, just awesome. And I found out that the manufacturer of the rear shock (WP) is a Dutch company, who would-a-guessed.

What size front sprocket does it have? You can go to a 16 on the front, and down to a 42 I think on the rear.

Not sure about the front size, it seems I need to remove that black plastic cover for that. Or ask the PO. I will do either soon!
