Hi There, had this for a few weeks now and love it to bits, not had a motorbike for about 6 years, and they where all italian superbikes, moved on to cars and then realised a few weeks ago my hobby that I spanner at evening etc (radio controlled HPI Baja) cost more than alot of motorbikes . . . . . . .

then found a beuty of a berg (custom flat tracker) and after riding a motorbike again ive got the bug once again, radio controlled car is on ebay in parts and im looking to buy another berg to go along the flat tracker . . .

anyways, heres a pic, expect stoopid questions and bad replies ;)

thanks man! I love it to bits :)

just need to change the front headlight, im getting a local fabrication place to make me one like this.

then it will look complete

Saw it on ebay and thought great looking bike apart from the headlight.
Be good see it with the new one on.

front headlight looks ugly:)

do you have a wider front tire than the rear?

What size are those wheels? Especially the rear seems somehow different that most wheels you see.

i think it would look cool with wider rear and front to match that rear. used to dream of the 80's bike magazine SR500 flat tracker.... that's like fulfilling a dream I think.....

the wider front tyre and rim is all to do with the loading and angle of the headstock etc on opposite lock.

its just the picture., the tires are the same size front and rear.

same width etc.

ordered a battery for it today, one of those super b 5200's, getting a husaberg steering damper fitted in a week or so, and the headlight will follow shortly after.

will post pics once its done :)

cheers

Gary

Very nice.

Every now and then I get silly ideas and was thinking about doing this to a 650 Berg as 650 honda conversions are a bit common.

Doesn't look like there was been much if any frame cutting involved.

the rear end is all lowered, the rear frame has been chopped and re wielded, the angles are all lower, the only other one I have found on the internet didn't have this, so maybe its not 100% required ? i dunno

You have to alter the angle on the rear loop slightly to keep a straight line under the tank/seat unit. As FT says though its not a lot. The hard bit is getting it all lined up.
There was a Berg racing the DTRA series but have only seen one picture of it on the starting grid.

Mine a while ago before work commitments slowed the project down.
The front tire only just squeezes between the fork legs!

Playing with colours and finding a light for the MOT, this one didn't make it out of the garage
