Just purchased my first Berg. 05 FS/E450.
And I'd never thought I'd be asking this.... But, Where do I replace the Oil after I drain the old fluids out from its oil change? Do I lift tappet cover?.... Or have I missed the plug?

And I'll assume the Oil filter just inside the case's, seen once I remove the Bolt/plug on the right side just before the bottom of the case's?

And what is the Red Pull-Button to the left of the Keihin carb (just next to the Choke button)?.... I'm used to the old Mikies... So I've got a bit of learning curve to go thro with these Keihins.

Lastly.... The Turn screw(right side) that seems to drive a shaft up into the top of the Keihin. How many turns would a starting point be for me to set this at?..... The bike would run when I got it home, Even tho it was an absolute B***ch to kick start (cold). But once I got her running, it seemed to run High (just warming). I dialed it down and she idled nice and clean. Left it for the day.

Ever since that small tweak, I have been unable to get it to idle... And Kick starting is a mammoth effort! Other then this I have changed or touched nothing! Idea's?

Thanks for your help.

The oil fill should be a black screw type cap in the clutch cover.
The oil filter is above the stator cover, 2 allen screws hold the cover in place.
The red pull button is a hot start button, leave it alone. Make sure it is not pulled out as it will cause a hard cold start and possible a high idle hot.
The knob that turns the shaft is your idle rpm adjustment, you should not need to adjust it.

Good luck.

Thanks Berger.

Actually, I took a second look for the filler hole (as the bike is resting on its left side) I took another look and found the filler cap under the Header.... Hence I missed it, leaning over the bike in my dimly lit shed...... Yeah I know... I still felt like a tool tho

I would have never thought the Filter was in there....

Cleaned the Air filter today, fresh fuel should help too! I'm hanging to ride it yet!  8O
