well got me new 390 couple days ago,must say it feels very light and smooth but do have one gripe its the noise from the intake!! is it just me!!??
 
now i have to agree, having come from a 2 stroke, i do find the noise a little unsettling, Hearing the valves is a new thing for me and one that i'm sure i will get use too

that aside it is an awesome bike

Man I love the intake sound. I think it makes the bike sound like a moto gp machine or something.

does take some getting use to,even after having it 1.5 years i still keep looking up for a helicopter above me (rideing the plains army training area)

A different exhaust won't do anything about the intake noise.

Yes, it can.
If you make the exhaust so effing loud that you can't hear anything else ... then you won't notice the intake honk.

You'll get used to it, in fact I think you'll come to enjoy it. These bikes talk to you. My 04 550 was the same way.

It's just different.............

Wait till you get it good and broken in and start riding it hard, it will really talk to you then!
