I know the 2009 model uses an Oxygen Sensor in the exhaust. This is called Closed Loop EFI. Closed loop because the Oxygen Sensor feeds information back to the EFI Computer to alter Air Fuel Ratio's.
The 2010 model has no Oxygen Sensor. This is Open Loop EFI.

I think there are a few more minor differences but I don’t know them.

With all the bad news on the news it's always great to have an opportunity to recognize the good people in play and good things that happen every day--props to Tim Edelmann and Ryan Bottesi of Edelmann Sales in Troy NY.

I purchased a leftover 2009 FE570 from Edelmann and received not only great customer support but a great interaction with two genuinely good people. I have rarely received the personalized, conscientious, and trustworthy care I received from Tim and Ryan--it was way beyond doing good business and was pure good people.

Tim and Ryan went waaaaaay out of their way and were always cheerful, friendly, and helpful no matter what odd request I made or how long I was out of touch due to my own busy schedule. In the end, I have a great FE570 and had a very positive experience in getting it.
