Happy new year!

The bike has been derestricted as per the Husaberg's factory bulletin (the smal pdf file). I also have Akro slip-on -the most open one, with the end's carbon insert..I also have map selector set on 2- which is supposed to be "agressive"

now the questions:

1. When I open the throttle i hear the sound of the airfilter's box which is new to me, since I have alway rode a bikes with filter set somewhere under the seat--Beore doing that I cleaned the filter and properly lube it....It seems to me (I might be wrong though) that before cleaning the filter (which was not quite dirty) the noise was less..Do you experienced this, how much it takes to get used to it..I personally preffer to listen the Akro:)?

2. The "open mapping" is in the ECU. Is this a SET of 3 maps, selected by the selector switch or it only concerns the Standart map -position 0,3-9??? ...Or is it for the fuel delivery only mapping , having nothing in common with the ignition maps as per the map switch?

3.The dealer told that once you load the "open mapping" the software disables the O2 sensor and I can remove it from the system-true or false? And how then the system knows my fuel needs?...or it only follows some mapping, based on different signals-TPS, temperature,RPM????

4.Can you suggest me some submount for my Scott, since the one I had from my KTM didn't work (the one for cast triples)?

Thank you!

Welcome.
1) This noise is normal. If you had ridden Bergs before you would have pretty much been immune to it by now. Yes, the intake is a noisy SOB. Soon it will be music to your ears :D
2) I will make the assumption that the software change is for all 3 maps. 0-standard 1- traction 2-aggressive 3-9 revert back to standard.
3) You may remove the o2 sensor. The question I have is, will it set an EFI light. The o2 sensor is unused in the North American models. From what I understand it was for Euro bikes with a catalyst.
4) Scotts makes a mount for the 09-10 bikes.

I think I have that right. If not I'm sure some one will be along shortly to correct me

Does anybody know what is the proper procedure to change the ignition maps by the Hard Part's switch-bike on idle or engine off?

I have a australian dliered 09 FE 570 which is apparently the same spec as the euro machines, but I cant see a catalytic converter in the exhaust system. Does this mean I cannot remove the sensor due to the fact its possibly the same spec as a euro machine ?
