for £3000
and the other a new 05 at DCR http://www.daveclarkeracing.com/prod01.htm for £5300.
I'm still learning about the bergs but here are some interesting points I see so far:
* People seem to be going on about '05 and newer engines, presumably because of reliability/main bearing/etc. Is this a valid observation?
* The used '04 was rebuilt at 50hrs, is that normal? Or does the fact that it now has the "bearing mod" mean it will last longer in the future? If I ride about 15-20hrs per month that's about a rebuild every 3 months!! How much are they (approx) anyways?
* Does the £2300 savings outweigh the fact I might have to rebuild and buy more parts for the used? I don't mind spannering and doing lots of preventative mainenance.
* Would you recommend waiting for an 05 for an in-between price?
* Where besides DCR site / Ebay do bergs come up for sale? Don't see any on this site.
* What would you do?
