Bike is new to me and no other Bergs around to listen to. How does it sound? I adjusted the valves last week- should have took audio beforehand. Now I’m not confident in my work. Bike has 50hrs. Work done at 70F. Exhaust valves were in spec on the loose side. One intake was tight, one loose. I put them in spec on the loose side, but I don’t use a feeler gauge much. Thicker than max spec, feeler had to be pushed or sawed in- seemed to drag, from memory. At max spec they went in nicely, but not loose, and seemed to have a nice drag. The engine seems “clicky.” Anybody have a recording of a perfect engine? Any feeler gauge tips or best practices?

Here is the vid:

Is it possible to have too much slack on the non-tensioner side of the chain? I installed the DT tensioner when I did the valves. Maybe I did not put the chain on correctly.

I do have limited knowledge but try doing the same as you did in the video but pull the clutch lever in and see if the sound changes.
Just to do another step in trouble shooting.
