Just a photo of me on my '04 fe450 at my first enduro back in September, had a great day. It was a very fast open track. Only problem was my leccy start had packed up so I had to kick it up every time it went over which took ages- I was really struggling because I was wearing bulky knee braces and found it hard to get my leg up high enough on the kicker.

I've done another enduro since and have my third in just over two weeks, which is at the same track as my first. I will hopefully have my leccy start sorted by then.

Really caught the bug for this racing malarky now! :)

After my second race, gave the mrs a lift back to the paddock.

Bought this just over a year ago, also in blue :) to cart the bike around, and recently bought a trailer so I'm all set now :)

Congratulations for getting involved in your first enduro's. Keep that Husaberg flag flying!
The courses look perfect for a big 4 stroke, where abouts was it? Hare and hound or Enduro?
Be glad you didn't choose one of the Isle of man enduro's as your first as they have a reputation for being hard. See these vids for a taster.

That there looks like what we refer to as "cocktail enduro" - we're used to misery up north 'ere...but I am deeply envious of you mate...

Nice vids, I like the look of that track, the echoes of the bikes sound awesome in forests. It reminds me of Thetford forest, I went there at the start of this year to spectate at the British enduro opener. My club races at a place called Rendlesham forest which looks similar to that. I'm looking forward to those fire tracks next year! I've had a look at your clubs site, looks pretty good.

Cheers, that track is King Farm, Chatteris which is in Cambridgeshire and it was a 4 hour enduro, 2x2hrs with course reversal in the second session. I've never ridden in dirt that was so fine and dry before, just miles of rutted peat fields, the soil was black. When I asked what the best way to tackle these rutted straights, the answer I got was to 'just pin it wide open with ya arse over the back wheel' :D That did work but the only thing was if you got it wrong and came a cropper it wasn't exactly a slow crash, but it was all fun. It was a dry sunny day on my last visit there but come December I think it'll be very different, or as my club calls it 'bleak.'
I'm actually more used to technical stuff and prefer the wet. I've done alot of riding in wood type terrain on my friends farm land so really like tech sections with steep climbs etc. At my second enduro I was catching quite a few people up in the wood sections, but as ever there were still some who I let by because they were quicker. This one also had public roads that we had to dismount at and run with our bikes across to the next section, that got pretty tiring after a while. I love it all though, it's so much fun.

These are some video's of the last two enduro's I've done-

You should do the Welsh 2 day enduro next year. It's a great event, not too easy not too hard and has a great social element to it.
You have to get your entry in early though regs out March (event June) check the Enduronews website.
The enduro's here are mainly timecard forest enduro's which are getting rarer and rarer in Britain due to lack of availiable land, hence the rise of Hare and Hounds racing. If you're into the technical stuff like me you'd probably prefer the oldskool timecard events.

My other passion is Desert racing but there are not too many deserts here in the IOM. I went to the Tuareg rallye last year http://www.tuareg-rallye.com/ and loved it. These events are not cheap and are more dangerous than anything I've ever done but the riding is incredible. I finished 19th overall despite getting lost a few times and having never seen a sand dune before never mind an ICO roadbook and used a GPS. Although I must admit to using a KTM for it as my Husaberg was playing up. Anyway getting off topic now, enjoy your racing, I'll tell David Knight to watch out for you!

Yes it's a great shame about the land issue. Thanks I'll look into that, does sound like my sort of thing, should have a fair bit more experience by then, and hopefully a new bike.

That Tuareg rallye looks like some serious business! Don't suppose there are many bergs in that?

Haha yeah Knighters a complete legend. Will be seeing him race again no doubt at the Tough One soon, can't wait for that, this year's was amazing!

I was having starting issues on my 04 650. The problem was that the stator was not strong enough. I installed a Trail Tech stator. The problem was solved. Trail Tech doesn't have stators for Bergs. So I used one for a KTM RFS motor. The fit was perfect.

Now I have TT stators on all of my dirt bikes.
