I have a rather new 2011 FE570 with the 70 deg tank on it. We were on our way back from a somewhat short ride (60 miles maybe) when my bike stalled in a sand wash...I tried over and overto restart it but no go. I looked at the rear tank and it had less fuel than when started (which was full) but more than the front which seemed almost empty. I transfered some gas from another bike but still no fire. Anyone experience this on their newer Berg's???

The rear tank issue may be a ttotally different thing or it may have something to do with it...I don't know! 8O

No, I've not experienced this, but I have the same bike and the same tank setup. So when you have the problem figured out, please post the fix in case I run into the same thing.

Thanks

It's not a faulty fuel pump is it?
A lot of owners reporting this problem and have found to be a faulty fuel pump. It's normally replaced under warranty.

The issue is a result of poor tolerances in the manufacturing of the pump. Seems to be a bad batch of pumps supplied to husaberg. When replaced the fault is normally rectified.

Plenty of threads on here and nearly every forum round the world regarding the issue.

Speaking from experience the faulty pump 'problem' displayed different symptoms on my bike. It started stalling infrequently and would re-start after several minutes cooling down. Gradually the stalling became more frequent and the time taken to resart longer until it got to the point where it was taking 40min - 1hr to restart and would stall again after 15-20 mins or so. It was purely down to the temp of the fuel in the tank and hence the pump temp. The bike would ALWAYS start from cold, even up to the point where I changed the pump.

Can you hear the pump cycle for 2-3 secs after a stab on the starter button? If you can it's not the pump.

Most definately...especially if it's doable as a trail fix so I don't get to be towed back "again"...not much worse than that .... oh the humiliation ...

Could be, we checked all the fuses, it's getting spark, had gas, etc. etc. I looked for another thread on this but must not have gone deep enough...thanks for the note!

No, I can no longer hear the pump when I switch it on or hit the button. I thought i had experienced a slight surge in power while on the trail but it didn't last so I ignored it since it never repeated. I then came to a stop and it flamed out. It took a few minutes to restart then got about 2 miles further when it staled completely. The day after I got home and the bike had cooled I washed it and gave it another try, got a lttile pop but nothing else.

Get that pump replaced and see how you go.

There have been a few re offending pumps but normally once they are replaced the problem is rectified.
This is the issue that has stopped these newer bikes.

There has been a few reports of damaged wiring looms causing issues so check all your wiring too, but I would be almost certain your fuel pump is the fault.

It's under warranty and is going to the bike doc this weekend. I'll mention the wiring issue....Thanks

rear tank empty but not the front ! then i would have thought it was a venting issue , remove the fuel cap and see if the fuel levels out ?

I've done a few things regarding this...I took off the side "vent cap" of the rear tank and saw bubbles so I figured there was some vacuuming going on. I put it back on when the bubbling stopped then removed the main tank cap (which is a ***** in itself) but didn't notice any further fuel movement. I'll bring all this up with the dealer once I take it in. Was supposed to do that last weekend but ran out of time/too many chores. S/B able to do it this Saturday. I noticed in the "FUEL" section that the desgner of the 70 deg tank mentioned a RED screw in the top of it...I looked and didn't see one. Can't remember what thread it was in.
