I just noticed that my bike has the mx muffler (FC in husaberg notation) although it's an enduro model (FE). When looking at photos and old brochures the FE muffler extend all the way to the mud guard/rear light and seem to be about 150-200 mm longer than the FC muffler which stops right after the rear side panel.
I'm registering my bike and have to have it under 103 dBA at 3900 rpm at the check. I just have a cheap sound pressure measuring device but it goes up to about 103 dBA at 3900 although I have a home made dB-killer installed. I believe the enduro club around here has the same limits as they don't want to upset their "neighbors".
Question, does anyone know if there's a noticeable difference in sound pressure between the muffler models?
