Was wondering whether the Piirelli MT 16 120 rear was really a 100 .Since their scorpion pro is measured like the Michelins and the 140 sizes up to be a 120. So my thoughts are that at least Pirelli and Michelin are not conventional sizes. The Michelin desert front I have 90/90/21 is really a 80/100/21 and of course the pirreli scorpion pro must be the same. Corect me on the MT16 if you will.

Dang Pollo, what did you do, dream about tires and tire sizes all night last night? :D

The only Pirelli that is sized "funny" is the Scorpion Pro. Just like all the other Euro 13mm knob height rear tires, the 140/80 = 120/100 in a 17mm (regular) knobby.

I wouldn't steer ya wrong Pollo. The 120/100 M16 is a B.A.T. (big a.. tire)

I am now a believer. The MT 21 looks a little funny for a 140/80/18 also, but otherwise you are correct Johno. The MT16 does look beefy but it doesn't seem to have enough side knob from the pictures I have seen. It's worth a try though but will have to wait until the M5B is tested.
Thank you.
