Bike- 2011 570s converted to full woods bike
I bought a set of the Moose (TGT) subtank bars in the woods bend which are a narrow version of the CR high bend bars last fall. I have had a chance to ride in about every condition and have to say these bars are pretty cool!
I run my clickers about 1-2 clicks higher than I would normally depending on the terrain then adjust the handle bar dial to suit me. I can shut it off when hitting the track then dial it back out for some woods riding then even more if I hit some sand along the way! I can really tell that it's working in the sand!! I hit the sand with it closed and flail all over the place trying to keep it on two wheels then hit the same section dialed all the way out and just nail it through the same area. The dial makes a difference in most other places as well, it does take the initial edge off about everything you hit. I don't have nor feel I need a stabilizer with these bars.
I ordered them right from TGT and the guy was very helpful, shipping was fast, and the price was good. If anyone is interested in these I would recommend you get the valve facing you as your sitting on the bike since if it faces forward it will hit your gauge and it really isn't convenient to adjust the dial in the front anyway.
On the 570s there is a bunch of garbage on the handle bars so you have to get creative when swapping to the woods bars but everything fits and fits in the order it was. I had to relocate my map switch and get it off the bars but other than that all is good and I'm very happy with the system!!
