Hi to everyone just a little help is needed, i drained my oil friday and left it draining for a couple of days, when i checked out the plastic filter there was a few small metalic deposites on it, but on closer inspection there was a 3/4 strand of metal in a circular formed piece, any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry fs650 2002.

Billy was that a 3/4" diameter or 3/4 of a circle? could it be a section of thread stripped from the drain bolt?

If you've got mates like mine they could have thrown an old bit of metal in to wind you up!!!!

Thanks mate , it was a 3/4 circle piece of metal ,no it wasnt a piece of the drain plug its brand new , i have read that the cam bearings have problems with them .
