Maybe? 2000 FE600E - Lineweaver 620
I've been toying with the idea of selling my bike for a few years now but could never bring myself to do it. I know if I put it up on my local classifieds it wouldn't be appreciated for what it is so I thought I'd at least throw it up here and see what it's worth.
I've owned this bike for 18 years now but rarely ride it. The occasional trip to the desert is all she sees. I ride a 200 2-stroke most of the time now.
She started as a stock FE600E, 2000 was a great year, new chassis, old motor. Vin #....0000001, Chuck Sun's demo bike from what I was told. Shortly after I bought it I shipped the motor off to Dale Lineweaver. $3k+ later I have a 620cc with a custom piston, stainless oversize valves, LR1 cam, ported and flowed head, bored and tuned carb, new timing gears and chain etc.
Other goodies added along the way:
Rekluse clutch
Suspension tuned by Pro Racing Suspension out of Delta, Utah
TAG racing billet triple clamps
Metallic blue paint on frame
Reinforced front motor mounts
Clark desert tank
Black Excel wheels
Guts racing seat cover
Enduro Engineering hand guards
Aluminum radiator guards
Custom Race exhaust
ProMoto Billet spark arrestor
probably some other stuff I forgot.
I removed the starter and battery but still have all of that if someone wanted to put it one. She takes a pretty good kick but once you learn the technique it's not bad.
As old as she is, of course there's a few issues. She leaks a little from the clutch cover. I think one of the lower bolts needs a thread insert.
The manual clutch doesn't work great, probably needs a new slave cylinder o-ring but I haven't worried about it because of the rekluse.
Dale built her right though and she's an absolute monster! Still haven't lined up with any dirt bike that can even begin to hang with her in the sand washes. Modern FI 450's are in the dust before I hit 4th. My riding buddies got on a kick of buying old CR/KX 500's to ride in the sand washes and they don't even come close.
I know I've got way more into it than I ever expect to get out of it and still not sure if I want to sell it for that reason, but I hate to see it just sit around.
If I do sell I at least want to sell it to somebody on here that knows what they're buying.
Hit me up, let's talk if you're interested and thanks for looking.
