Hi

I have a 2001 501 fitted in a crosskart, fitted an el-cheappo temp gauge and it shows 100 C.
The radiator does not feel extremly hot + it does not boil over.

Am I correct to the gauge is suspect?

Nothing wrong with 100 C. Well within the range of normal operating temperatures.
 
What is the Normal Operating range? + what is the max that I should expect?
