So, it seems if all I want is to be able to select the agressive map, I should be able to make a 2 position switch, 1 position open circuit for the standard, and 1 position with 6800 ohms? Correct? Anyone done this? Does it work on the fly?

I buzzed out the factory switch and that is exactly what it does.

Question is whether the ECU will change on the fly. I haven't had a chance to try my switch yet.

Let us know, I'll be looking for a 2 position switch, connector and resistor over the next few days.

Just to be clear, was the value exactly 6800 when you checked it, or is that a rounded value? I'm wondering how particular the ecu is about the specific value?

It might have been 6810 or 6780. All the values were common 5% resistor values. The 1950 value was the farthest off.

It was stepping from 15,000 to 6,800, to 4,700. With such large steps anything close to 6800 shouldn't be hard to detect altho 2700 to 2200 to 2000 seems like things are getting close.

Here is a picture of the resistors inside the map switch:

I'm not sure what the numbers mean, but I guess 6811 is one of the values and 1502 is the 15k??? If someone with more knowledge can confirm that?

Thanks guys, now I just have to find the resistors and a switch I like.

Let me point out that 6800 and 15,000 in parallel are 4700. Put *that* in parallel with the 3300 and get 1936 ohms, which is the "funny" 1950 ohm value I measured.

But for the 3 settings the Husaberg recognizes you only need the 6800 and 15,000.

Don't fret about the difference between 6800 and 6810, 6810 is the 1% value and it can't be that critical.

Also those are 1/10 Watt or less resistors. 1/4 watt resistors are cheaper and much easier to handle.

Which wires behind the headlight are they? I'm planing on using a marine toggle switch and a 6.8k resistor to give me std and aggressive mapping available.

There is a 2 wires cable with connector and a black connector without wires on it as a cap. The cable is approximately 15-20cm long.

Hello everybody.

Can someone tell me what advance map my (fe570) is using without a map switch.

Agro, standard or soft?

I'm guessing it would be the standard.

I really love my new bike!

Thankyou

Steve

Hi Sabin thanks.

So this beast can have even more grunt than it has now! :D

How good is that!! I don't know that I need any more but I like the idea and I won't know until I try. 8)

Thankyou Steve
