Hi! I'm thinking of bying a '04 Husaberg 650 motard. Sure looks like a great bike, but i'm a little concerned about maintance... Do I have to take it to my local dealer all the time, or can I fix most thing myself? How often do bigger problems occur? I can do most things myself on my 2-stroke trials bike, but i kinda think this is way more complicated.. :S

I'm planning to use it mainly for on-road riding...

Thanks! :D

well it is now four years old so you are in unchatered waters. they have proven to be reliable and you can do all the work yourself.

be aware that if it's been thrashed as a roadbike or even if it hasn't it will be reliable but could be worn up some?

i'd buy it, get a few miles under me and then i would treat it to SCHEDULED maintenance.

regards

Taffy

Thanks! The previous owner says he has treated it with care, but who knows.. So if i follow the instructions in the owners manual, things will probably work just fine? Does anyone know if spare parts are expensive?
