Fired up the bike today after having the head and cam etc, recoed. Started up quickly no problems, except when I had a look to check the oil throught the site glass there was lots of turbulence, at first I thought water had got in the oil as it went light in colour, frothy so I drained some oil was fine
I had the left hand cover off.
I can`t remember seeing this in the site glass before!!
Is some thing wrong? Have I missed something?

Cheers spanner

it's normal to froth. watch it as you shut it off and the bubbles should go away quickly. but you prolly have missed something, i'm sure

check the water level in the rad because if that doesn't go down any more then you're ok! they do give the impression of water in the oil when it isn't and is often hard to explain away to a customer after a rebuild!

My brand new 450 does the same thing, the froth makes it look a tad milky. :) The old KATOOM 450 did it aswell.
