Hi,
every year the bikes get a few reliability improvements.
Shouldn´t that be normal?
But you´re right, the 04 models run very well.
We have to handle with old bad reputations, but this
tittle-tattle doesn´t interest me. Gossip-factory. It´s only the jealousy of all the KTM, Honda and Yamaha riders.
joke, but a bit truth is there to be found. And you can trust me: Where I come from, a lot of KTM and other engines were wrecked on the tracks.
We´re are handful of Husaberg riders here, and everywehere we appear on a MX track the people are looking, whistling and sometimes later asking:
"And your Berg? Is it running well or did you have problems with the engine?" I can only laugh about them and overtake them on the track with a loud thunder. Just picture it. If you know what I mean.
Ok, in the 90´s
the engines weren´t the best and without enough maintenance
a lot of engines were blown, but most of these damaged were the result
of wrong or no servicing. Husaberg had the lightest and strongest 4 stroke engine years before the Yamaha 400 came out in 96.
With the late 99 and 2000 models Husaberg brought out some well designed bikes where most "old" problems were solved. 2001 with the new designed
engine they had some new probs but they were eradicated in 2002.
The best bike you can buy is obviosly a 2005, but since 2002 the bike in originally condition is really
reliable.
But you must know: It´s like a piece of sports equipment. You have to care for it. Then you will love it.
Hope I found the right words.
greetings
hribman
