Is there an after market light anywhere out there that fits straight into the pre '09 'Bergs headlight shroud?
I'm looking for something that gives out a lot more light but I don't want to get anything that changes the look of my standard looking bike! Also I don't really want to upgrade any wiring or coils so hopefully there will be a bike out there with the same light but better quality!
Does this exist?

Cheers guys!

Ben

Have you got glass or plastic headlight lens Ben. I run a 55watt bulb with a glass lens and that gives a pretty good light......not up to road bike standards though.

Mines plastic mate and it really is sh*te! I would go as far to say at night it is dangerous because there is simply not enough light!
What did your glass lens come from?
Cheers!

Ben

It would be nice to have a glass lens and reflector then I can go as high as the 100watt! Does anything fit? Yamaha? I'll get out with a tape next time I'm at a bike meet and see what I can find!

Not too much response so guessing not many people have changed anything apart from the bulb?

If you want more light, I'd say take a look at trail tech. Most likely you will not keep the stock look, but who really cares so long as you can see at night. Also be careful on the wattage, my 09 570 only puts out 210 watts. That puts me at 2 35 watt HID's, fuel pump, fan and whatever is left staying safely of the limits of my stator. I run the X2 eclipse spot or food on the front and SCMR16 on top of my helmet offroading at night.

I did the same thing and still wasnt happy so I went trailtech. There really is a huge difference if you don't mind the price tag but I would do the trailtech eclipse x2 again, but do remember when ordering the light to get the cover ordered too. I didnt read the fine print and in the past the cover came with it but now you have to order it so if you order them together it will save you some shipping. :) good luck. I will post some pictures of the view of the headlight if they turn out.

Yea, the Trail Tech is definitely a winner. Took a few tries to get squeezed around all my wiring (2011 Street
Legal 570) but once mounted, I'll never go back to stock.

have read the whol thread and all the links but i seem t recall someone once mentioning that the glass light unit from one of the late model LC4 bikes will fit straight in.

i could be wrong

Someone somewhere on here suggested a 90's husky glass replacement unit. 510/610 maybe?
I beleive it was an easy fit..... but reflectors and bulbs have come a long way since then.
