hello all

i ahve come accross a cheapish 03 FC501 however i was really looking for a FE501 so does any one know where to get a lighting kit a husaberg kit would be good as i dont really like th fancy headlights......can anyone help

Baja Designs

Baja Designs is supplying a HID lighting kit for the Dirt Rider 24 Hour test, and it's really impressive. Looks just like a stock setup, utilizes the stock stator (rewound), yet puts out an incredible amount of light. Downside is that it's probably pricey.

Cheers,

Brett Saunders

You would need to add a lighting coil. Like Brett said it will be pricey.

thanks for your replys
do you have any idea about how much they cost
and is there a website

You should not need to add a lighting coil for an 03. If Brett is talking about the Tecate light I think it will cost you about $500 USD. I am sure the factory set up would be 1/3 or less in price (as well as performance). you can check out my head and tail lights on my 02 FC550 in my gallery. I think I have about $150 invested in them.

Ken:

Is it then that the 04-05 Fc models do not have a lighting coil but the 01-03 Fc/Fsc models had a lighting coil but not a charging coil?

All of the SEM ignitions have lighting coils. I cant answer for the newer ones.

This is in the "for whats worth" if you are adding lights.I saw in a Dennis Kirk catolog where a kit can be bought that has the switch, wiring and basically all you need to hook up lights. It is made by Moose and if your bike has lighting coils should make it easier to hookup.Hope this helps.

dont matter any way saw it on ebay but was out for the final few minutes :( :(
